Vandals, going to Europe

On June 6, Russia celebrates the anniversary of Alexander Pushkin's birth, hailed as the father of Russian literature, widely called the “Sun of Russian poetry.” He's one of the most famous russian authors, well known in the whole world. His poems were translated into great number of languages. A lot of statues and monuments are installed in his honour in the different countries.

In our tradition he stays in the same line as Shakespeare, Byron and so on.

Pushkin is a very important part of russian-speaking culture. Moreover his poems are part of world wide culture too. That's why a lot of people from different states celebrates June 6th. But not everyone. This year while all cultural people celebrated Pushkin's birthday, Kiev's nazi tried to uglify his monument. Not a big harm to the great poet, but clear illustration of cultural level of modern ukrainian nazi assaulters.
